MRS.USHAKIRAN SOOD, HINDI LECTURER
Mrs. Usha Kiran Sood, presently teaches Hindi language in the university of Bucharest, Faculty of foreign Languages and Literatures, Oriental Languages and Literatures Department since March 2009. She has been appointed by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR), Government of India and the Romanian Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) under cultural Exchange programe. She is in the service of teaching Hindi language since 1976 till date (34 years of experience)
Mrs. Usha Kiran Sood distinguished herself as a highly talented teacher continuously modeling and renewing the content and the discourse of her Language and Literature classes according to the particular demands of the Romanian academic framework , thus facilitating for her students, in an adequate manner, the access to information, methods, and instruments with regard to the area of Indian Studies.
Prior to her assignment to the University of Bucharest, in India, Mrs. Sood was the Head of Hindi Department in GHPS, New Delhi , India, where she was teaching Hindi. She remained Head examiner of CBSE, Delhi for many years. She attended many NCERT workshops in Delhi. She has sound experience of preparing Hindi Text Books and Question papers. She has sound knowledge of Sanskrit language and basics of Yoga.
Mrs. Usha Kiran Sood was also deputed by ICCR to teach Hindi and Sanskrit in the Indian Culture Centre, Paramaribo, Suriname, South America from 1997 to 2000. Mrs. Sood taught Hindi and Sanskrit in Suriname Hindi Parishad (a sole Govt. Body for the education in Hindi in Suriname) also upto Bhasha Rattan which is equivalent to Masters of Arts. Apart for her various educational activities in Suriname, she also provided necessary help in the telecast of Hindi serials on Televisions of Suriname.
Being a student of Hindi literature, Mrs. Sood has much interest in ancient Indian Culture and Literature and well versed with Indian Philosophy, thought , History, Indian art, culture & traditions.
